There’s free parking in front of the house with a blue disc. Usually you can park very close of the house. The blue disc should be set between 9h and 18h. Once you set it, it’s good for 2 hours. Afterwards, you don’t need to move the car, you can set the blue disc again.
The Birdsonghouse doesn’t have private parking. Normally you can park very close:
– in the street, free, but limited to 2 hours with a blue disc between 9h and 18h, after 18h, no blue disc needed anymore. When you rent the house, you are entitled to stand in front of the garage of the house.
– at 100m for 2 euro/day (Gezelleplein)
– at an undergroundparking at 300m (parking Indigo Ieper Menenpoort, located at Sint-Jacobsstraat 15, however very few people use this because there are cheaper alternatives)
– at an always free edgeparking (Leopold III-llaan is the closest at 300m or 5 min. walk) MOST RECOMMENDED
For guests with a motorcycle, it’s everywhere always free parking in Ypres. No disc or ticket required.
We have a small garage, which is used for the washing machine, the dryer and some storageplace. So there’s no place for motorcycles or cars inside. However you can put your bicycles inside.
